All ESRI Users are invited to deliver presentations at the Sixteenth Annual Latin American Conference for ESRI Users (LAUC 2009) and share their knowledge and experience in using GIS technology. Presentations should explain GIS applications in the fields listed below, lessons gained during the path, return on investment, and benefits of implementing a GIS solution.

Topics will cover GIS and geospatial method implementations in the following areas:

• Government
• Natural Resources
• Defense and Law Enforcement
• Businesses and Trade
• Education
• Utilities
• Health
• Infrastructure and Transportation
• Others

Authors will deliver 20 and 30-minute presentations within the framework of a moderated session. Abstracts and presentations will be published as a part of the Conference proceedings.  

Submission Guidelines


• To submit an abstract, you must be an ESRI Software User.
• A title must not exceed 10 words.
• An abstract must not exceed 250 words.
• Under no circumstance it is permissible for a presenter to use his/her time slot to advertise or promote a product, service, or company.
• Avoid all capital letters. Remember the information you enter will be used for publishing purposes (e.g., Web site, agenda, CD-ROM).
• All material you send as well as presentations must be in Spanish language.
• Avoid bullets and numbering.

Submissions should include...


• Author/Presenter name
• Presentation title with brief description (as noted above)
• Company/Organization name
• Address, phone, and fax
• Presenter biography  
• There are a limited number of presentation slots available. We cannot guarantee that all submissions will be accepted.

 

Important Information


All presentations must be noncommercial. Proceedings will be published on the event Web site. The committee will evaluate all submissions and make selections based on topic, content, and time available. All presenters will be notified after the selection process. A detailed program of presentations and events will be provided prior to the Conference. Projector equipment will be provided at every conference room; please bring your portable computer.
